About Build It For Me

What is Build It For Me?

Build It For Me is the done-for-you build service from The Deliberate Founder. We build websites and web apps for small businesses, organisations and founders, from a written brief, at fixed prices.

Who runs it?

Build It For Me is operated by Capefield Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 14103443). Its founder and director is Olufunmi Olutile.

What do you offer?

Three routes: a fixed-price website ($1,500 build plus hosting), web apps from $5,500 with an instant price, and written quotes for projects that fit neither. Each follows the same written process.

Do you work with clients outside the UK?

Yes. Prices are in GBP or USD — choose either with the currency switch. Each is a fixed price list, not a conversion, and the process is the same wherever you are.

I'm not sure what I need yet. Where should I start?

With the free Clarity & Direction diagnostic at clarity.capefieldacademy.com. It helps you decide what deserves your attention before you spend anything. If a website or app is the right next step, come back and we will build it.

Pricing

How much does a website cost?

$1,500 to build, paid once, plus $300 for the first year of hosting: $1,800 at the start. Hosting renews automatically at $300 a year from year 2. We send a reminder 28 days before, and you can cancel from your dashboard.

How much does a web app cost?

Web apps start from $5,500. As you choose your app type and features in the web app form, you see a fixed price. If it fits our standard foundations, you can pay and start straight away. Every app includes the essentials — accounts, uploads, reviews, notifications — at no extra cost. Very large or unusual projects get a written, fixed-price quote within 5 working days.

Why does hosting cost $300 a year?

Hosting keeps your website online: secure servers and SSL certificates, backups and recovery, security and software updates, and the systems that run your contact form and admin panel.

How many pages does the $1,500 website include?

Up to 5 pages, Home included. The template privacy, terms and cookie pages are added on top and don't count. If you need more than 5 pages, request a quote and we will price the larger site in writing.

Can I pay in instalments?

No. The $1,800 is paid in full at the end of the intake form, before the build begins. That keeps the process simple and the price low.

Do you offer discounts?

No. Our prices are the same for everyone and published in full, so there is nothing to negotiate.

Are there hidden fees?

No. For a website, you pay $1,800 at the start and $300 a year for hosting from year 2. Optional extras, such as the $75-a-year domain and email add-on, are always shown before you choose them.

Do you charge VAT?

No VAT is added to the prices shown. If that changes, it will be shown clearly before you pay, and existing clients will be told in advance.

What's included

What comes with the $1,500 website?

Up to 5 pages, a mobile-friendly design for your brand, a contact form that delivers to your email, and basic SEO. Also included: an admin panel for editing your own content, a WhatsApp click-to-chat button and Google Maps embed if you want them, template legal pages and a cookie notice, and delivery in 14 days.

Is the admin panel included?

Yes. Every website includes an admin panel where you can edit your contact details, images, services and selected site content yourself.

Is SEO included?

Basic SEO is included: page titles, meta descriptions, an XML sitemap, structured data and clean web addresses. Ongoing SEO or marketing is not included.

Can I have a blog?

Yes. A blog counts as one of your 5 pages, and you can publish posts yourself through the admin panel. Individual posts don't count towards the limit.

Will my site work on mobile?

Yes. Every site works on phones, tablets and desktops.

Do you write the text for the site?

We refine and structure the content you give us. Rough notes or a few sentences per page are enough, and you get polished copy back. The accuracy of your business information remains your responsibility.

What's not included

What takes a project beyond the $1,500 website?

Online payments on your site, customer logins or accounts, live booking calendars, customer dashboards or member areas, online shops with carts and checkout, custom databases, real-time features, or more than 5 pages. Most of these make it a web app (from $5,500); a larger brochure site can be quoted.

Can I have an online shop on the $1,500 website?

No — a full online shop is a web app. The $1,500 website can link to a shop you already run elsewhere.

Can I have a live booking calendar?

Not on the $1,500 website. It can include a booking enquiry form: the request is emailed to you and you confirm it yourself.

If I want any of these, what happens?

Use the web app form instead. You see a fixed price as you choose, and can usually pay and start straight away. Web apps start from $5,500 with the essentials included; only very large or unusual builds get a written quote, within 5 working days.

The process

How does it work?

Complete the intake form for the route you want. For a website, you pay at the end; for a web app, you pay at the price shown or receive a quote. You get a confirmation with your expected delivery date, follow progress in your dashboard, and receive your finished site with admin access, ready to go live.

Will I need a meeting or call?

No. The process is written from start to finish — the intake form, your dashboard and email. If you would like a quick answer, you can message us on WhatsApp.

How long does it take?

Websites: 14 days from a completed brief and payment. Web apps: typically 4–12 weeks, confirmed when you pay or in your quote. The clock runs while we have what we need; missing information pauses it.

What if I forget something in the form?

Use the 'Additional files' area in your dashboard. You can add content, images or notes at any point before delivery.

How do I keep in touch during the build?

Your dashboard is where we post updates. To send us something, upload it there, use WhatsApp, or email support@capefieldacademy.com.

Domains and email

Do I need to buy my own domain?

You have two options. Register your own at a registrar such as Namecheap or GoDaddy (around US$10–20/year, about ten minutes) and we send a step-by-step connection guide at delivery. Or choose our optional add-on when you book: we register your chosen domain and set up one professional mailbox for $75 a year. Either way, the domain belongs to you.

What does the $75-a-year add-on include?

Your chosen domain registered for you, one professional mailbox (for example hello@yourbusiness.co.uk), and setup and management by us. You are the legal owner and can move the domain to your own account at any time. It is added to your payment when you book and renews each year alongside your hosting, with a reminder and easy cancellation.

How do I connect my own domain?

We send a step-by-step guide for adding the right record at your registrar. It is one change on one settings page and usually takes effect within a few hours.

Do I need a custom email address for my contact form?

No. Your contact form can deliver to any address, including a personal Gmail or Outlook account. You can change it later in your admin panel.

Content and images

Do I need to write all my own copy?

No. Answer the intake questions in your own words — rough notes are fine. We refine and structure them into clear copy.

Do I need to provide my own images?

You can, but you don't have to. Choose 'source stock imagery' and we select suitable professional stock images, included in the $1,500 fee.

Can I use images from Google?

Almost never. Most images found online are copyrighted, and using them can lead to legal claims. Use images you own or have rights to, or let us source stock imagery.

Do you design logos?

We can create a simple wordmark: your business name set cleanly in your brand colour. Full logo design is not included. You can also upload your own logo, or use none.

After delivery

What happens on delivery day?

Your dashboard status changes to Delivered and you receive your admin panel login, a guide to connecting your domain, and a short walkthrough of managing your content.

What can I edit in the admin panel?

Your contact details, images, services, blog posts and selected site content. Layout, code and third-party integrations are changed by us as a paid request.

What if I want a new page or a redesign later?

Small changes are usually possible in the admin panel. New pages beyond your 5, and larger changes, are quoted individually through your dashboard.

Is hosting required for the website?

Yes. Websites run on our shared infrastructure and can't be self-hosted. That is how we keep hosting at $300 a year.

What happens if I cancel hosting?

Your site stays live until the end of the period you have paid for. Before it ends, you can export your content (text, images, blog posts) through the admin panel. After that, the site is taken offline.

What if something breaks?

Servers, security, updates and backups are covered by your hosting fee. Report any problem through your dashboard and we will look into it.

Web apps

What's the difference between a website and a web app?

A website tells people about your business. A web app is a tool people use: they log in, take actions, see data, make payments. If your idea involves people doing something, you probably need a web app.

Why does a web app cost more?

A web app is built around your own workflow. It takes 4–12 weeks and needs more complex infrastructure.

How much does web app hosting cost?

It is separate from the build fee. Take a full handover (source code and documentation are yours to host) or choose a managed plan from $99 a month.

Can I turn my website into a web app later?

Yes. Many businesses start with a website and move to a web app as their needs grow.

Payments, refunds and cancellations

How do I pay?

By card through Stripe: at the end of the intake form for websites and priced web apps, or when you accept your quote in the dashboard. Visa, Mastercard, American Express and other major cards are accepted.

Is my payment secure?

Yes. Payments go through Stripe, which is PCI-DSS compliant. We never see or store your card details.

Can I get a refund?

If you cancel before the build begins, and within the consumer cooling-off period where you have not waived it, the build fee is refunded minus a $30 administrative fee for payment processing. If you waived your cooling-off right and work has begun, no refund is available. Delivered projects are not refundable. Hosting already paid for is not refunded for the current period.

What if you can't deliver my project?

If we find after starting that we can't deliver as agreed, we refund the build fee in full and explain why.

Ownership and rights

Who owns my website after delivery?

You own your content. Capefield Ltd owns the underlying code, templates, design system and infrastructure. For web apps with a full handover, ownership of the source code passes to you on full payment.

Can I move my site to another developer?

The $1,500 website runs on shared infrastructure and can't be moved, but your content can always be exported. If you want a project you fully own, choose a web app with a full handover.

Is my site GDPR-compliant?

We include the basics: a cookie notice and template privacy, terms and cookie pages. Full compliance depends on how your business collects and uses data beyond the site, so review your data practices with suitable legal advice.

What about my customers' data?

Contact form messages are delivered to your email. You are the data controller for your visitors' data and Capefield Ltd acts as your processor. For web apps, data handling is set out in your project documentation.

Still unsure?

If you don't yet know what to build, the free Clarity & Direction diagnostic is a good place to start. If you know what you need but not which route fits, request a quote and we'll tell you honestly.
